Progeny of Rlink To Blue
2008 Colt
Congratulations to Shelly Zettler on the arrival of her exotic 2008 Colt by Blue! Pictured here at only a few hours old, it is clear she has a gorgeous future herd sire with which to build her breeding program.
“Black”
"Black" as he is fondly known by those who love him, bred by Danette Smith from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and currently owned by Caroline Beaule' from New York, "Black" received his nick name from his almost black coat he sported at birth! He is a beautiful example of combining the blood of his sire, RLink to Blue, with that of his dam, AM Silky Silwa, a daughter of AM Silver Silwa, who crossed the ocean in utero, with her mother, Silwa, a direct import from the Crabbet Stud in England and one of the Al Marah's premier foundation mares. "Black" combines the beauty of his historically rich pedigree and the athleticism come to be synonomis with both his sire line and his dam line. Caroline is schooling him as a hunter pleasure horse and hopes to enter the show ring with him in 2009.
Outa The Blue
“Miko” is back in action and competing at the Pri St. George level with his owner, Lisa. Blue's very first foal, Miko, began his show career with multiple halter championships and then entered the dressage arena where he has advanced through the various levels in record time. Miko's individual accomplishments are far too numourous to list, but he explifies the athletic ability and trainability of Blue's offspring. His return to competition in 2005 marks yet another major obstacle he has managed to overcome, having just come off of 18 mos. of treatment and recovery from a serious case of founder resulting in rotation of his coffin bones. Lisa never gave up and saw to it that he received the best of care for this condition and remarkably, he is back and as competitive as ever and continuing to learn new moves. Miko was bred by Doug and Trisha Aspen, of Aspen Springs Farms, who have developed a breeding program resulting in high level performance horses of Morab, Morgan and Arabian blood. Congratulations to Lisa and Miko on their return to competition!
