MeChall MS
Sired by U.S., Canadian, Scottsdale, and Brazilian National Champion, Magnum Chall HVP, by International Champion, Magnum Psyche. MeChall’s dam is an exotic and exceptional daughter of multi Halter and Western Pleasure Champion, RLink to Blue, by NV Shalako (Bey Shah x Gi Gi Rose by Gamaar), whose dam is El le Gent (x Garis) a full sister to A Love Letter, the foundation of the Robert and Janine Boggs breeding program), and out of a multi Halter Champion daughter of NV Shalako, Shah Colette, whose dam is sired by Pistoleero (x Gamaar), a full brother to Gi Gi Rose. MeChall, having been permitted to stay home and grow up since birth, now three, has found his way into the capable hands of Mike Neal, who will be instrumental in shaping the future of this amazing young colt’s future in the show ring. MeChall represents the 4th generation of our breeding program, set firmly in his dam line, with the addition of the treasured blood of Magnum Psyche, through his son, Magnum Chall.
MeChall, as an individual, is truly representative of both his dam line and his sire line. MeChall is currently preparing to make his show ring debut at the Iowa Gold Star Futurity show Labor Day Weekend. Mr. Neal has requested that we give serious thought to permitting him to lead MeChall into the ring at the 2007 US Nationals in the Futurity Colts Competition, a flattering, but daunting financial commitment for a small breeder. Based upon Mr. Neal’s recommendations we are offering an opportunity for anyone interested, 10 breeding rights to MeChall, or any of our stallions, their choice, for the 2008 breeding season at an unprecedented discounted fee of $750.00, provided paid in full by the end of August, 2007. The funds generated by these “sponsors” will be used, in their entirety, to send this exceptional colt to the 2007 US Nationals and for promotion leading up to the competition. All “sponsors” will be acknowledged in promotion, confirming for all small breeders, that it doesn’t take a lot of money to produce National Quality horses and yes, we can and do make a difference. MeChall is pictured here in the early stages of his training with Mike Neal in the summer of 2007. MeChall, now 3, had been permitted to stay home, grow up and his only concern was to eat, play and roll in the dirt until he left for Mike's in May of this year. Upon his arrival, Mike was quickly convinced this was a young stallion with National potential and encouraged us to try to give him a shot at the National Futurities in October, but time was certainly against us from the onset. While MeChall made great progress with his conditioning almost at 100% 2 weeks before Nationals, there was concern about his ability to really get up and strike a pose consistently and hard with so little training and absolutely no experience under his belt. His competition was certainly made up of a field of 3 year olds who had all been in training barns and show rings, including Yearling National competition, and MeChall, well, this would have been his very first show. MeChall is a very sweet and still lacks maturity mentally, and together, Mike and I decided to hold off on pushing him for this year, giving him some time to mature mentally, gain some experience in the show ring, and some self confidence before again making a run at Nationals. He is now being started under saddle and we will revisit his halter career with some shows in 2008, and then plan to make a run at Nationals in 2009 for Junior Stallion Competition. This will allow him to gain mental and physical maturity, breed some mares and gain self confidence, as well as gain some element of show ring experience before a Nationals competition. We are absolutely thrilled at the support he is receiving from all who lay eyes on him and his breeding book, just opened in August of 2007 for the first time, is filling fast. 2008 looks to be an exceptional year for him in the breeding barn as interest grows by leaps and bounds. We cannot thank people enough for their support and enthusiasm for the future of this truly exceptional young stallion!
